About Project Pack & Stack

Reading serves as a foundational skill in the early stages of childhood development, offering children a way to enhance their vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. As of 2024, 1 in every 4 children in the United States grow up without learning how to read.
To enhance the literacy rate within our communities, I advocate for children’s literacy through my platform called Project Pack & Stack. This initiative involves collecting backpacks and books for children within the community so that they will have resources and opportunities to develop their literacy skills outside of school and inside their homes. I distribute these backpacks and books to local schools, churches, back-to-school events, community gatherings, and even directly to children facing specific needs.
Early literacy skills are predictors of future academic success. My intention with this project is to generate action and bring about change where it holds the greatest significance and value: among our children and for our future!
